Do I need a permit for a 6-foot privacy fence?
Per the City's FAQ, permits are required for fences over 6 ft. A fence at or under 6 ft generally doesn't need one, but setback and corner rules still apply.
How tall can a front-yard fence be?
Within the front-yard setback, solid fencing is limited to 3½ ft so it doesn't block vision.
I live on post or rent — can I install a fence?
Only the property owner (or with written landlord/HOA approval) should authorize fence work. On-post housing has its own rules.
Are you the contractor?
No. Clarksville Fence Pros is an independent referral/matching service. Independent local businesses quote and perform the work, and we may be paid for introductions.
Is there a cost to request quotes?
No cost to homeowners for an introduction. Any contractor price is between you and that contractor.
